How it started
Beehive Distilling traces its start to 2013, when three friends began experimenting with small-batch gin in Salt Lake City. The distillery’s own history says the team worked through roughly twenty attempts before arriving at Jack Rabbit Gin. That bottle became the starting point for a broader portfolio that now reaches beyond gin into whiskey, rum and vodka.

Beehive began with gin, but its current spirits reach across several categories. The Back Shelf currently tracks seven Beehive expressions spanning gin, vodka, bourbon, rye whiskey and rum.

Beehive’s work extends beyond traditional spirits into ready-to-drink cocktails. The distillery has produced canned cocktails built around its own spirits, including gin- and vodka-based expressions.
